WHYNOT, Pearlie Edward - Age 93 of Kingston, NS passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014 in the Veterans Unit, Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Waterville, he was a son of the late Leon and Elsie (Dimmell) Whynot. Pearlie was a veteran of the Second World War having served overseas with the West Nova Scotia Regiment. He retired after 30 years with the Salvation Army as a carpenter in the furniture shop. Pearlie was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No.98 Kingston. He is survived by his daughter Patsy Whynot, Bridgewater; his sisters, Alberta Beach, Alberta; Alice Jamieson, Dartmouth; sister-in-law, Lillian Whynot, Nictaux and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son Max; his sisters Audrey Williams; Marjorie Chales and his brothers, Ralph Whynot, Charles Whynot and Russell Whynot. Visitation will be held 7:00PM- 9:00PM Friday, May 16, 2014 and 10:00AM-12:00PM Saturday, May 17, 2014 both in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448. A graveside service will be held 1:00PM Saturday, May 17, 2014 in the Tremont Community Cemetery with Pastor Neil Armstrong officiating.
