Obituary

Gates, Penelope Lynn ~ Age 67, of Aylesford, NS passed away at home on June 23, 2025. Born in Middleton, NS she was a daughter of the late Willoughby and Alice (Crocker) Gates
Penny was an avid bingo player and loved being outdoors in the fresh air. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by her son, Joseph "Joe" (Amanda) Milbury, Wilmot; 3 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Mary, Margie, Ruthie, Janet, Arlene; brothers, Merril, Fred and Carl.
In keeping with Penny's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will no visitation or service. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.

I had not an idea

You were gone, before I knew it.

I cannot grasp that you're not here
Or know the reason why.
Your tragic end, came swift and fast
And I could not be there
To hold your hand and comfort you
It's much more than I can bear.
I wish I could rewind the clock
And have known now, what I know
I could have hugged you one more time
Before you had to go.
In my heart, I'll hold you close
And there you shall remain
Until my time has come on earth
When we shall meet again.
