SKIPTON, Perry Ronald Samuel ~ age 54 of Victoria Harbour, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, April 16, 2018 in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in North Bay, ON, he was a son of the late Michael William and Sandra Elaine (Abbott) Skipton. Perry was very proud of his career in the Royal Canadian Air Force, retiring after 26 years of service. He was very involved with various aspects of technology and loved solving any challenge he was presented with. He also really enjoyed camping, visiting the Bay of Fundy and his newest hobby which was flying drones. Perry was also an avid motorcyclist and belonged to various motorcycle clubs throughout his decades of riding. Perry could always be counted on to put others before himself; he was forever helping anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Aja; daughters Barbara Skipton, Brooklyn, NS; Natasha Skipton, Greenwood; Samantha Skipton, Eastern Passage; Brittany Jackson, Greenwood and Isabella Jackson, Victoria Harbour; sons Christopher Skipton, Burton, NB; Wilton Skipton, Halifax; and Brandon Crawford, Greenwood; sisters Suzanne Skipton, West Dalhousie; Sindy Skipton, Windsor, NS; brother Anthony "Tony" (Stephanie) Skipton, NB; mother-in-law Rose O'Brey, Belleville, ON; father-in-law Ron (Pat) Crawford, Palmer Rapids, ON; and several grandchildren; and uncle, Edward "Ted" Barrett. Besides his parents, Perry was predeceased by his aunt Barbara (Skipton) Barrett. In keeping with Perry's wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
