Obituary

DUPUIS, PETER JOSEPH of Middleton, passed away on November 13, 2017. He was the second youngest child, one of sixteen children, of the late Dominic and Evangeline (Legere) Dupuis. Born in Amherst he attended St. Charles and Amherst High School.  The family moved to Windsor and opened the first UAP/NAPA store in the Valley.  He later established NAPA stores in Middleton, New Minas, Berwick, Kentville and Digby. One of his greatest pleasures in life was spending time with his grandchildren.  He was blessed with a wonderful sense of humour. He will be forever remembered by his wife, Betty (Palmeter); son Bruce, (Jo Ellen); daughter Pamela (Jerry) Kwakernaak; grandchildren Geoffrey and Kevin Dupuis; Ashley and Keri Kwakernaak; many nieces and nephews; and his brother Dominic.  A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 17, 2017 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., 902-825-3448 with Rev. Karen Ralph and Rev. Tricia Ingram officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Peter can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or a charity of your choice.
