RITCEY, Peter George – age 66 of Nictaux West, NS passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 17, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Middleton, Peter was the son of the late George and Winnifred (Ritchie) Ritcey. He proudly worked for NS Power for 40+ years, and had a successful company of his own, P & D Poleline. When not working, one of his favourite activities was admiring the view while sitting on his front deck surrounded by friends and family. Peter will be sadly missed by his partner, Trina Peterson, daughters, Janet (Peter) Morse, Balmertown, ON and Joanne (Angus) Cruickshank, Simpsonville, SC; son, Adam (Rachel) Ritcey, Shelburne, NS. He was a beloved Grampie to his grandchildren, Camryn, Zacary, Lochlan, Callum and Jenna. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his former partner, Noelle Geddes. In keeping with Peter's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 24, 2017 in the Nictaux Baptist Church with Rev. Bill McLeod officiating. Private family interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. Donations in memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
