MCDORMAND, Ray Douglas- 81, of Westport, NS passed away at Tideview Terrace, Digby Sunday, November 28, 2010. Born in Westport, he was a son of the late Willard and Harriett (Morrell) McDormand. Ray was an active fisherman for many years and had a great love for the sea. Left to mourn is his beloved wife of 40 years, the former Barbara Frost; sons, Evan (Nadina); Marty (Dawn) and daughter, Linda (Clifton) Moore all of Westport. He had many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by sisters, Evelyn and Rose and brothers, Charles and Eugene. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1:30PM, Sunday, December 5, 2010, in the Westport Baptist Vestry, with Rev. David Ingersoll officiating. Private family interment will be in Hilltop Cemetery, Westport. No flowers by request of the family. Donations in memory may be made to Westport Baptist Church or a Charity of Choice.
