Obituary

SABEAN, Ray Leroy – Age 84, of Middleton, formerly of Bridgetown and Port Lorne, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018, in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Port Lorne, he was a son of the late Kenneth and Marguerite (Marshall) Sabean. Ray had worked in his early years in the United States as salesman. He was a proud member of the Masonic Order, having been a former member of Stirling Lodge, A.F. & A.M., Malden, Massachusetts and also Canton Malden Lodge No. 55, I.O.O.F. Ray owned and operated his own Convenience Store in his home in Port Lorne for many years. He loved time spent with his St. Bernard dogs. Surviving are brothers, Donald (Doris), Ronnie (Bev) and Dean (Patsy) Sabean, all of Port Lorne; sister-in-law, Connie Sabean, Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Gordon (Ruby) and Claude Sabean; sister, Audrey (Frank) Graham. Visitation will take place from 7-9 p.m., Monday, June 18, evening in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., Middleton, 902-825-3448. Graveside service will take place at 1:00 pm., Tuesday, June 19, in Fundy View Cemetery, Port Lorne, with Rev. Brian Wallace officiating.
