BOUDREAU, Raymond Peter “Ray” ~ Age 89, of Moshers Corner, Annapolis Co., N.S., formerly of Dalhousie, New Brunswick, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville surrounded by his family. Born on November 24, 1936, in Dalhousie, N.B., he was a son of the late Peter and Bernadette (Lagace) Boudreau.
Ray enjoyed his 30 years working at Bowater Pulp and Paper Mill in Dalhousie, as well as being an industrial fire fighter there. He was a very simple man, who had a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody. Ray was a great dancer, an avid bowler, and enjoyed playing crib with his friends. He enjoyed hockey, was a Toronto Maple Leaf’s fan and had been active member of Knights of Columbus. Ray loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren, who always put a sparkle in his eye. He greatly enjoyed working with the sawmill alongside his son Keith. Ray loved to buy scratch tickets and time spent with his special friends, Steve, Peter, Tim and Ross. He enjoyed going to the V.O.N. day program in Middleton and appreciated all the staff there.
Surviving are a son, Keith (Angie Balcom) Boudreau, Moshers Corner, N.S.; grandchildren, Tajia (Michael) Howard, Halifax and Jordan Boudreau, Moshers Corner; great grandchildren, Anthony, Conor and Olivia Howard; sister, Lorraine Boudreau, Beresford, N.B.; brother, Yvon Boudreau, Dalhousie, N.B.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He will be sadly missed by dog, Bruno; cats, Molly and Puss; and the chickens in the yard.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by siblings, Albert, Clarence, Gerald, Camille, Jacquline and Xavier.
A celebration of life will be held 2:00PM Tuesday, June 23, 2026 in Middleton Funeral Home with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow. A graveside service will take place July 1, 2026 in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Dalhousie, New Brunswick. Donations in his memory may be made to VON Annapolis Valley Branch (Adult Day Program)
