Obituary

MAILMAN, Reginald Milton "Reg" - 74 of New Albany, Annapolis County passed away peacefully, Sunday, March 1, 2015 in the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home. Born in Middleton, he was the son of the late Milton "Tom" and Violet (Silver) Mailman. Reg graduated from Middleton Regional High School and in the early 1960's moved to Kingston, Ontario where he trained as an x-ray technician. He later became employed at the Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto and the Peterborough Civic Hospital, Peterborough, Ontario. In 1991, Reg retired and moved back home to New Albany and was then employed at the Annapolis Community Health Center for a brief time until 1992. He is survived by his sister Ellen (Reginald) Sarty, Port Wade, Annapolis County and nephew David Sarty, also of Port Wade, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an infant brother. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 5th, in the Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448, where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 6th, Rev. Dr. Bill MacDougall officiating. Cremation will follow, with interment at a later date in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Albany.
