HARVEY, Rene Marie – age 68 of Middleton, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Heart of the Valley Long Term Care Centre, Middleton. Born in Toronto, ON she was the daughter of the late William and Irene (Gagne) Gillies. Rene loved doing crafts of all kinds and was an avid reader. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Wayne; stepdaughters, Amy (David) Maandag, Surrey, BC; Shawna Delbridge, Chilliwack, BC; brother, Ian (Karen) Gillies, Abbotsford, BC; true best friend, Diane Gardner, Abbotsford, BC. In keeping with Rene's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Rene will be interred with her beloved father, in Langley, BC.  The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Heart of the Valley for their excellent care of Rene. Also special thanks to fellow resident, Barb for spending so much time sitting and visiting with Rene.
