It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Richard Edward Bushell, Sunday, January 11th , 2026, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Rick was born on December 19th, 1952, in Goose Bay, Labrador, he was the beloved son of the late Thomas Bushell and Betty R. (Gould) Bushell. An avid outdoorsman, Rick had a deep love for animals, motorsports, and woodworking. Above all, he valued time spent with his family and friends. Rick dedicated 22 years of service to the CFB Greenwood CE section before transitioning to project management in the private sector for the remainder of his career. Rick is survived by his daughters, Danielle and Katie; sons, Christopher (Amanda), David (Lois Ann), Kyle (Kristina), and Brandon; grandchildren, Ethan, Ryan, Jack, Sally, Felix, and Josie; sister, Debra (Barry) Scott; niece, Savannah (Matt) d'Entremont; and his former spouses, Cindy Walker and Dawn Martell. In keeping with Rick's wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation.
