CAREY, Richard Allen ~ age 64 of Nictaux, NS passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Born in Middleton, NS, Richard was a lifetime carpenter, loved music and playing his guitar. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and his favourite past time was hanging out with "the boys" down at the Nictaux West Garage. He loved all of his family dearly, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, best friend and partner of 44 years, Kathey (Greene), Nictaux; daughter, Joanee Carey (Tom), Greenwood; sons, Michael (Jennifer) Carey, Nictaux and Bob Carey (Theresa), Woodville; grandchildren Meghan Sloan, Aidan Carey, Landon Carey, Xander Carey, Coleman Squire, Samantha Squire, Victoria Squire and Mary-Anne Ruggles. Richard was predeceased by his mother, Elaine Carey. A special thank you to Dr. Clark Gallant and the palliative care staff. In keeping with Richard's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
