THOMPSON, Richard John "Dick" - Age 70 of Nictaux, NS passed away Monday, January 5, 2015 at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born June 23, 1944 in Middleton, Dick was a son of the late Balsor and Audrey (Freeman) Thompson. Dick was the retired vice president of Thompson Transfer Ltd. During his retirement he enjoyed hockey and golf, both of which he loved. Dick is survived by his sons Dan (Charleen) Thompson, Toronto and Jarret Thompson, Nictaux; sister, Margaret Wynn, Nictaux; brother, Edward (Teri), Toronto; one grandchild, Brienne and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11:00AM, Friday, January 16, 2015 in the Middleton Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Lowe officiating. Interment will be in the Nictaux Cemetery.
