T OOLE, Richard Allen ~ Age 80, of East Kingston, Kings Co., N.S., passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on December 23, 1944, in Middleton, Annapolis Co., he was a son of the late Alva Pleamos and Rowena E. (Foster) Toole.

Richard was first employed at Hayden Furniture business in Berwick and later in the C.E. Section at C.F.B. Greenwood, working in the Greenhouses there. He enjoyed gardening, collecting things and raising chickens. Richard enjoyed attending yard sales and auctions.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years the former Mary E. Taylor; sons, Marcus (Kelly) Toole, North Kingston; Michael (Michele) Toole, Factorydale; Ivan Toole, at home; grandchildren, Sasha (Corey), Shawn and Cassandra (Billy); great grandchildren, Owen and Colby; sisters, Florence (Jim) Lessard, and Ardythe (the late Scotty) McLeod, both of Calgary, Alberta; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Philip, Morley and Paul Toole.

A Funeral service will take place at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, November 16, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448.
