Weed, Richard Joseph – Age 83 of Hampton, Annapolis Co., passed away Friday, July 19, 2024, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville after a battle with cancer. Born in Manchester, NH, he was a son of the late Kenneth and Albina (Howard) Weed. He loved helping people achieve their dreams. He spent many years in the banking and finance industry with his career spent at the New Hampshire Savings Bank in Concord NH. In his retirement and especially his life with his wife, Eileen, he loved golfing, hiking, travelling and being with friends and family. Richard is survived by his wife, Eileen (Price) Weed; sons, Daniel (Jodi), Jeffrey (Michelle), David (Tina), Peter (Olivia Jiang) Nieforth; daughter, Karen (Bogdan) Vacaliuc; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, Richard was predeceased by his first wife, Joanne Weed; brother, Kenneth; sister, Phyllis Garland. A memorial service followed by a reception will be held 1p.m. Monday, July 22, 2024, in St. James Anglican Church, 289 Granville St., Bridgetown. Rev. Dawn-Lea Greer officiating.
