BRYSON, Richard William "Rick" W/O, Retd - 65 of Kingston, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Shinimicas, Cumberland County, NS, he was a son of Helen Margaret (Angus) Bryson, Pugwash and the late William Henry Bryson. Rick retired after 30 plus years as a W/O Flight Engineer having served in Comox, Shearwater, Gander, Trenton, GK Germany and Greenwood. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #98 Kingston. Rick was employed with Sun-Ray Cleaners, Greenwood and was a volunteer driver with the Valley Drug Mart Shuttle. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and his pets. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife of 46 years, the former Norma Greenough; daughter, Tara (Rob) Lasseter, Wilmot; son, Lee (Jennifer) Bryson, Belleville, ON; sister, Edith (Ronald) Wood, Lake Killarney, NS; brother, Ronnie (Anna) Bryson, Shinimicas, NS; grandchildren, Richie Bryson (Caitlin); Marissa Bryson (Byron); Briana Lasseter, Kyle Lasseter and several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A Legion Tribute, conducted by Royal Canadian Legion Branch #98 Kingston will be held 2:00PM, Monday, March 7, 2011 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be held at a later date in the Renwick United Cemetery, Linden, NS. Donations in Ricks memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Valley Hospice Foundation or HART - Homeless Animal Rescue Team.
