Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Rin Nishigami announce his sudden passing on Sunday, February 28 th , 2021 at the age of 19. Rin will be lovingly remembered by his parents Nobuhiko and Ayumi; sister Shuri; as well as his Canadian parents Gary and Sonya; sister Madison; brother Riley; and numerous other family members and friends, especially from Middleton Regional High School. Rin was born August 3 rd , 2001 in Shizuoka, Japan. He attended his school years until elementary school in Japan, where he studied both Japanese and English. After graduating elementary school, he flew to Nova Scotia and attended Middleton Regional High School and continued his education at St. Mary's University. Rin loved playing sports, especially baseball and badminton. He enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family and friends as well. Most importantly, Rin had a deep love for his family, and cherished the time they would spend together. He touched the lives of so many, our beloved; bright; smiling; the lights of our lives and the star of our hearts leaves us smiling through our tears. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free 1-855-825-3448. A Memorial Service, by invitation only, will be held Sunday, March 21, 2021 in Middleton Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Danny Smith officiating. For those unable to attend in person a live webcast of the service will be available for viewing on the funeral home website at 1:55 p.m. ADT, Sunday, March 21 st , by selecting the "Live Stream" option at the top of the home page.
