LLOYD, Robert Arthur Bob, 82, formerly of Bridgewater, passed away June 16, 2011 in Mahone Nursing Home, Mahone Bay. Born in Milton, Queens County, on October 29, 1928, he was the eldest son of the late Elvin T. and Evelyn B. (Wentzell) Lloyd. He worked for Bens Bakery, Halifax and Berwick Bakery, Bridgewater. He then worked for the Department of Transportation in Bridgewater from which he retired. He is survived by three children, Roberta Marie (Peter) Joudrey, Conquerall Mills, Carolyn Dianne (Karl) Langille, Oakhill, Robert Allen Bob, Digby; grandchildren, Natasha (Scott) Arenburg, Jimmy (Sarah) Joudrey, Tammy (Adam) Hirtle, Cindy (Morgan) Hill, Kenny (Felicia) Langille, Matthew Langille, Joshua Langille, Casey Langille, Dylan Langille, Stephanie Lloyd and Andrew Lloyd; 11 great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Maurice (Sally) Lloyd, Dartmouth. He was predeceased by his wife, Faith Marie (Faulkner) in 1994 and one great grandchild. Bobs family would like to thank the staff of the Mahone Nursing Home for the wonderful care Bob received over the past couple of years and also the compassion shown to the family during the last few days. Visitation will be held 12:00 to 1:00PM, Sunday, June 19, 2011 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448 followed by a Graveside Service at 2:00PM in Church Grove Cemetery, Melvern Square, Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Family flowers only. Donations in Bobs memory may be made to Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or charity of choice.
