Robert Douglas
Beals
June 20, 1931 – March 1, 2018
BEALS, Robert Douglas - Age 86 of Tremont(Rocknotch) passed away on Thursday March 1st, 2018 at Valley Regional Hospital. Born in Aylesford, he was a son of the late George Milton and Faye Elzora Beals(Ewing). He was a loving husband, father, Grampie and "Pop". Bob worked as a carpenter for many years, always willing to help anyone fix anything. While his fame for being lucky precedes him (he was featured in the Chronicle Herald in the 1990's for finding over 100 four leaf clovers in one season), those who knew Bob were certainly the lucky ones. Bob loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and was an avid gardener. He was a lifetime member of the Canadian 5 pin bowling Association and bowled weekly on the men's league at CFB Greenwood. After his wife Jean, music was his great love. Yodeling for his fellow "jammers" brought him joy. He is survived by sons Doug (Carol), Randy (Kim), and Les (Samantha and Olivia) all from Cambridge, ON; and Rick (Sarah) Wolfville; daughters, Kathy, Kitchener, ON; Sharon Greenwood, NS; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by his wife Jean May Beals (Creemer), his son-in-law, Joe Wilson, brothers, Howard, Russell Beals and sister Frances (Jackson). Cremation has taken place and arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home. 398 Main St. 902-825-3448. A special "Jam" session in Bob's honour will be held 7:00 PM, Wednesday March 7th at the Harmony Hall. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Harmony Hall.
