DOREY, Robert George "Bob" - Age 79, South Greenwood, Kings Co., passed away suddenly at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, and he was surrounded by his wife and family. Bob was born in Auburn, Kings Co., to the late Bill and Ramona (Guerrero) Dorey. He was a devoted family man who was loved and respected by everyone. Bob dedicated his life to Jehovah in 1953, and was respected in the community as a faithful minister. He began cutting hair at the young age of 12, and continued his career as a Barber for nearly 50 years. Bob loved anything with a motor in it and spent many enjoyable hours tinkering in his garage. He also took great pleasure in biking with his buddies, listening to country music and looked forward to dominos, dessert and tea at the end of the day. Bob will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Sylvia (Chesley); son, Chris (Jane) Dorey; daughter, Susan (Ken) Myra; spiritually adopted daughter, Donna (Dan) Parsons; grandchildren,  Jasmine (Dustin) Harvey, Alicia (James) MacNeil, Nigel (Brittany) Dorey, Chelsea (Gabe) VanBuskirk; and great-granddaughter, Olivia MacNeil;  brothers, Danny (Fran) Dorey and Whitney (Marg) Dorey. He was predeceased by siblings, Gladys, Jack, Doug, Sonny, Seldon, Russell and Ramona. All who knew him loved him dearly and will never forget his kind-hearted generosity and gentle disposition. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 20, 2018, at 4:00 p.m., in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 337 Hwy #1, Kingston, with Aaron Laevens officiating, with light refreshments to follow the service.
