FRANK, Robert Willis - 92, of Brickton, NS passed away Friday, October 26, 2012 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Robert was the eldest son of the late Willis Oran and Rhetty Regina (Wentzell) Frank of Maplewood, Lunenburg County. He served Canada and Britain for 4 ½ years in the R.C.E.M.E Regiment during World War II. Up until last year you would have been hard pressed to keep him from attending the Remembrance Day services held in Parkdale/Maplewood. After the war Robert worked for Ontario Automobile Ltd., Toronto, Ontario. He resided in Brickton for 50 plus years where he operated his own automotive mechanic and body repair shop. He also sold Moto Ski snowmobiles, travel trailers, lawn mowers and motor bikes. He enjoyed gardening, singing, spending time with his family and he was a great story teller. He was a member of Hillcrest Masonic Lodge No. 93 in New Germany and transferred to Evangeline Masonic Lodge No. 94 in Lawrencetown, Annapolis County. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 55 years and he served as Worshipful Master for 4 years and was honoured to give back to the community, through their charity work, especially in the field of education and health. He was a member of the Lawrencetown United Baptist Church, where he was an usher and a member of the choir. He later sang in the Lawrencetown Male Choir which he enjoyed for 30 plus years. Robert is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 63 years, Vivian Annabell (Sarty) Frank; children, Julianna (William) Dempsey, Berwick; Jennifer (Lorraine) Durling, Nictaux; Jane (Mark) Vincent, Halifax; Janice (Barry) Roscoe, Lawrencetown; James (Cathy) Frank, Brickton; 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sister, Dara Best, Berwick and brother, Hartley Frank, Maplewood. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by grandson; Cory James "C.J." Frank; sisters, Vivian McGill; Iris and Inez, twins who died in infancy; Ida Morse; Myrtle Bishop; Mirva Hiltz; Althea Sarty and brother, Wendell Frank; step-mother the former Minnie Spidle (Dorey); step-sisters, Evelyn (Spidle) Taylor and Laura (Spidle) Webber; step-brothers, Doran Spidle and Carl Spidle. Visitation will be held 7:00PM-9:00PM Monday, October 29, 2012 beginning with a Masonic Lodge tribute conducted by Evangeline Masonic Lodge No. 94 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448. Funeral service will be held 2:00PM Tuesday, October 30, 2012 in the Lawrencetown United Baptist Church with Rev. Patty Beals officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown.
