Obituary

HARDWICK, Robert Charles "Bobby" ~ Age 67, of Aylesford East, Kings Co., passed away peacefully at home with his wife, Diane and their beloved dog, Charlie Brown by his side on Thursday, November 21, 2019. Born on December 29, 1951, in Middleton, Annapolis Co., he was a son of the late Charlie H. and Sreatha M. (Hudgins) Hardwick. Robert had worked as a truck driver at various places including Middleton Dry Cleaners, Jones Bottling (Pepsi), Berwick Bakery (23 ½ years) and later at Armstrong's Food Service (10 years). He was a hard worker and always had a reputation for being a friendly and honest person. Robert was always busy and was well known as being a true handy man. Taking care of his home was priority with him and he loved his dog, Charlie Brown. Robert loved the outdoors and time spent with his wife four wheeling and camping. Surviving besides his wife of 45 years, the former Diane L. Long; are sisters, Patsy (the late Bob) Banks, Middleton; Doris (Ralph) Nixon, Margaretsville; Velma (Ernie) Corbin, Kentville; Juanita (the late Roger) Desmeules, Berwick; Marguerite (the late Alvin) Power, Ship Harbour; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Alberta in infancy; brother, Ronald (Sally) Hardwick. Visitation will take place from 7-9 p.m., Sunday evening in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448. Memorial service will take place at 1 p.m., Monday, November 25, in Weston Christian Fellowship Church, 3611 Brooklyn Street, Weston. Pastor David Hanson officiating, with a reception to follow. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. Family flowers only, donations in his memory may be made to Kings Co. S.P.C.A. or to Weston Christian Fellowship Church. A special thank you from the family to Heather and Orley Lutz for their kindness shown that will never be forgotten. Also, for the excellent care Robert received from the palliative care team as well as the doctors, nurses and staff at Valley Regional Hospital. Many thanks to our church family for their love, prayers and support, during this difficult time; also for the love of family and friends for their many kindnesses.
