MOGGY, Robert William ~ 83, of South Greenwood, NS passed away peacefully on Friday, September 13, 2019, in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Manitowaning, ON, he was a son of the late George and Sarah (Third) Moggy. As a young man, Robert was involved with farming. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force, and after being stationed in Greenwood, Trenton, North Bay, he returned back to Greenwood, retiring after 28 years of service, he continued to work for another six years for the Federal Government. Robert was an avid reader, enjoying crossword puzzles, woodworking and upholstery projects. He was a member of the Aylesford United Church. Robert is survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Beverley (Macdougall); daughter, Janice (Bradley) Wilken, Guelph, ON; daughter-in-law, Anne Moggy, Orangeville, ON; four grandchildren, Tara and Connor Wilken; Alexander and Steven Moggy; brothers, Mervyn (Karen), Barrie, ON; James (Suzanne), Manitowaning,ON; Grant (Nancy), South Bay Mouth, ON. He was predeceased by son, Kevin; brother, Arthur. A memorial service will take place Thursday September 19, 2019, at 2 PM in the Aylesford United Church, 2414 Hwy No.1, Aylesford, with Rev. John Moses officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. Private family burial will take place in the North Kingston Cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Brigadoon Village or charity of choice.
