Robert Arnold Woodroffe

Woodroffe, Robert “Bob” Arnold - P. Eng. age 85, of Halifax passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026. Born on March 16, 1941, in Halifax, Bob was predeceased by his mother, Geraldine Flora Bethune (Jensen - 1946), whose memory he cherished, and father, Charles Arnold (1986). Bob graduated from the Nova Scotia Technical College in 1966 with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical). He was a Life Member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Nova Scotia. For 30 years he worked at Nova Scotia’s Economic Development Department, taking on a number of high profile projects. Bob was also predeceased by his wonderful wife Rosemary (McMaster) with whom he enjoyed many years spending their winters at Ranchero Village in Largo, Florida. Rosemary was Bob’s very best friend and his life’s wish for a partner. He was also pre-deceased by stepson Stephen Yarr and step-grandson Tristan Yarr. Bob is survived by stepsons Michael Yarr of Victoria; Kevin Yarr (Susan Brown) of Charlottetown; stepdaughter Gina Peckford (Scott) of Aylesford; step grandchildren Colin Yarr; Emily Robinson (Macall), William Yarr, Riley Peckford, Ellen Yarr; step great grandchildren Rose, Ella, Thomas, and Jane Robinson. There will be a private interment in North Kingston Cemetery, with arrangements by Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. 1-855-825-3448.
