Emmett, Robie William "Butch"~ Age 68 of Lawrencetown, Annapolis Co., passed away peacefully surrounded by family Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at home. Born in Halifax he was a son of the late Robie and Bertha "Isabelle" (Gehue) Emmett.

Butch worked as a custodian for the County of Annapolis, Lawrencetown for 30 years. He was a monument representative for Tingley/Nelson Monuments for 33 years. Butch was a Scout Leader for seven years and involved in the Scouting movement for 25 years, fundraising for many organizations. He was a member of the Lawrencetown Fire Department from 1982-1987. He ran Butch Emmett carpentry for ten years.

Butch is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Nancy; son, Troy (Shyloe), Lawrencetown; granddaughters, Ryean and Jordan; brother, Robert "Bob" Emmett, Windsor, NS and sister-in-law, Lori Emmett, Sydney. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, John.

A heartfelt thank you to the Oncology Teams at Valley Regional Hospital and the Dickson Centre, VG Site for all their care and compassion shown over the past year. Also, special thank you to Palliative Care Team and VON for everything you have done for our family.

In keeping with Butch's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of life 1:00PM Saturday, January 13, 2024 in Middleton Funeral Home. Reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
