Obituary

WREDENHAGEN, Rolf – age 93 of Kingston, NS passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017 in Grand View Manor Berwick. Born in Rottweil, Germany he was a son of the late Alfred Gustav and Ottilie Pauline (Henrichsen) Wredenhagen. As a young man Rolf apprenticed as a furrier and worked in the family business in Rottweil, Germany. Due to an eye injury he had to give up the family business. In 1956, he and his wife Antonie "Toni" immigrated to Canada. For the next 44 years he lived and raised his family in Quebec. He was a retired custodian/janitor after 25 years working for an iron ore company. Rolf will be sadly missed by his loving wife "Toni"; son Norman (Mary) Wredenhagen, Kingston and brother Joachim "Hans" (Gert) Wredenhagen, Toronto. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Kurt. In keeping with Rolf's wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place 3:00PM Thursday, May 18, 2017 in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. (902) 825-3448.
