Obituary

Stronach, Ronald Lindsay – 71, of Forest Glade, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022 at home. Born in Middleton, he was a son of the late Lorimer and Edith (Evans) Stronach. Ron was a hard worker and a forward thinker. He began his career as a heavy equipment operator working with his brother George Stronach on the construction of the 101 Highway. After that, he went on to work for 15 winters at CFB Greenwood, where he kept the runways clear of snow. During his years at CFB Greenwood, he began developing rental properties and his own successful construction business – RL Stronach Contracting Ltd. As his business grew, he went on to develop Aaron Park Subdivision and Easy Street. Ron lived a simple life in his later years and truly loved his sons and grandchildren. Ron is survived by sons Aaron Stronach (Marlene Brewster), Forest Glade; Adam (Danielle) Stronach, New Minas; grandchildren Carson and Brielle; sisters Jean Stronach, Dartmouth; Amanda Robar, Middleton; brothers George Stronach, Halifax; Glenwood Stronach, Edmonton, AB. He was predeceased by his brother David as well as his parents. There will be a gathering to celebrate Ron's life at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 6, 2022 in the Margaretsville & District Fire Hall. Interment in Church Grove Cemetery, Melvern Square. Pastor Oliver Locke officiating. Donations in Ron's memory may be made to the Forest Glade Schoolhouse Fund as it was where he and his siblings began their education and it held a special place in his heart.
