Taylor, Ronald (Ron) Carl ~ Age 86 of Greenwood, N.S. passed away January 23, 2021 at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Falmouth, N.S. he was the son of the late Ernest and Lena Taylor. He was a member of the RCAF for 31 years, serving as an Instrument and Electrical Technician in St. Jean, Comox, Clinton, Lachine, Trenton, Summerside and finally Greenwood, N.S. where he retired. Ron was an accomplished fastball player in his early military service years and as well, spent countless hours at hockey rinks and ball fields with his herd of young boys. He enjoyed hunting, camping, golf, country jamborees, as well as darts through his membership at 107 Valley Wing of the Air Force Association of Canada, having also served as President. Ron was also a member of the Kingston Branch 98 of the Royal Canadian Legion. Survived by his loving companion, Peggy Lindsay and their trusted dog Brandi; sons, Ron, Summerside, P.E.I.; Ken (Carolyn), Kanata, ON; Pete (Nancy), Trenton, ON; David (Alaine), Ladner, B.C.; Cary, Cape Breton, N.S.; stepdaughter, Anita (John), Ottawa, ON; as well as sisters, Faye and Doreen. Ron was also blessed with 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Betty and stepson, David; sisters, Phyllis, Miriam, Betty, and Joan; brothers, Freddy, Gary, and Danny. We the family would like to thank the numerous friends and neighbors who shared time with Ron and Peggy and helped when we couldn't be there for them. A private graveside funeral service took place in the North Kingston Cemetery on Friday, January 29 with Chaplain Wade Seymour officiating.
