Killen
July 8, 1944 – August 9, 2016
July 8, 1944 - August 9, 2016 of South Farmington, Nova Scotia.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our loving wife, mother, nanny, grandma, sister and aunt Rose Anne, from the conclusion of an arduous battle with Parkinson's disease and its complication, at the age of 72 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Rose Anne was born in Wolfville to the late Louise (Rose) and Russell Wile. Rose Anne retired from the Middleton Post Office after many years of service. She was a kind and gentle lady who enjoyed curling, reading and gardening. She also loved spending time with family. Lovingly remembered by her husband Ernie of 22 years; her siblings Patricia (Stan) Hancock, and John (Catherine) Wile; cherished children Karl (Patti) Bigelow, Scott (Brenda) Bigelow, and Tom (Christine) Bigelow; step children Orrick (Isabel), Larry, Tim; grandchildren Kory, Kris, Sam, Jared and Jordan; step grandchildren Alicia, Keath, Amanda, Samantha, Eric and Josh; step great grandchildren Hailey, Reegan, Lincoln, and Hailey; nephews Adam and Michael; nieces Jessica and Amber. She was predeceased by her first husband Karl Joseph Bigelow. The family would like to extend their special thank you to all the care aides and nurses at VON for their kind and gentle care. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Middleton, NS with Rev. Paul Jennings officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson Society Maritime Region. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448. Condolences, words of comfort and memories may be shared with the family with the online guestbook at: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
