Matthew 11:28 Rose Marie Vandenberg (1939-2015) passed away quietly at Valley Regional Hospital after a brief stay on November 4, 2015. She is survived by her children, Julie, Leslie (Phil Stoddart), John (Raj Vandenberg), David, and Dawn (Dan Brunning), and her Grandchildren, Jeff, Shannon, Joseph, David Jr, Alex, Zeira Micheal,Devi and Joshua. And her great grandchildren, Kassidy, Kayleigh, Karrisa, Ashlynn, Jayden, Kendra, Hayden and Kendra Hemming, Pre-deceased by her loving husband, Garfield Vandenberg, grandson Jonathon and son in law Patrick Chalut. She will be missed. Rose Marie had a great love for her family and her critters. She was always rescuing an animal. She touched many people's lives as a Foster parent of over 100 children and during her time working at Community Living Alternative Society. An avid sports follower she was proud of her Blue Jays and their success this year and was hoping to see the Toronto Maple Leafs do the same. Rose Marie had a great love of all animals, the family is requesting donations to your local Humane Society/SPCA or the Lung Association in lieu of flowers. For those that would like to pay their respects to the family, there will be an informal gathering to celebrate Mom's life at the 107 Valley Wing, RCAFA, Central Ave., Greenwood from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11th.
