Obituary

COLE, Ross "John" – age 67 of Middleton, NS passed away suddenly on Monday, April 11, 2016 in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Middleton, he was a son of the late Clarence "Ross" and Joyce Elizabeth (Cranny) Cole. John retired after 30 plus years from the Public Works Department, Town of Middleton and was an associate member with Royal Canadian Legion, Middleton Branch No. 1. He loved fishing, gardening, walking and watching his family play hockey and enjoyed doing odd jobs and yard work for people. John loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his children, David (Karen) Cole, Nictaux; Dawn Cole, Middleton; Michelle (Craig) Pierce, Middleton; Tim Cole (Jenn Balcome), Spa Springs; his sisters, Elizabeth (Gary) Buckler, West Dalhousie; Donna (Joe) Sabean, Port Royal; his brother, Mike (Kim) Cole, Windsor; grandchildren, Carissa, Brianna, Keysha, Devin, Aleigha, Stella; great grandchildren, Kael, Noah, Kanon, Lincoln and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Dale. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service for family and friends will be held 2:00PM Saturday, April 16, 2016 in the Nictaux Cemetery with Rev. Patty Beals officiating. A reception will follow in the Middleton Legion. Donations in John's memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448.
