Ruby Elizabeth
Wright
September 5, 1938 – August 3, 2022
Ruby Elizabeth Wright (nee Nauss, nee Hiltz) Age 83, of Nicholsville, passed away at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville early on August 3, 2022 peacefully with family by her side. Ruby was born on September 5th, 1938, to Violet and Vaughan Hiltz in their Factorydale family home. Ruby's siblings who she loved dearly are brother Hollis (deceased), sisters Doris Tye (nee Ward), Ella Dalton (nee Robinson) and brother Corey. Anyone who knew Ruby knew of her love of music and the guitar. She saved her money as a child to purchase her own, and wanting to be ever prepared, made a makeshift guitar from a board and twine to learn the chords by heart so when she could finally purchase her guitar she was ready! She never looked back! A guitar has never been far from Ruby's reach her entire life. Ruby married Jerry Nauss in 1957 and being the wife of an Air Force man got used to living in many places. They lived in France, travelled extensively in Europe, returned to Prince Edward Island, Dartmouth and finally Nicholsville. Ruby and Jerry had two children, Brian born in 1958 and Laurie in 1969. They enjoyed living close to family and joining in many family music get-togethers. She was a longstanding member of the local Jehovah's Witnesses congregation. Jerry died in 1982 and Ruby found love again and married Robert Wright. They loved attending music festivals and jam sessions and enjoyed being "snowbirds" travelling to Florida each winter for 20+ years. Robert pre-deceased Ruby in 2019. Ruby had a small, yet big family she loved dearly. Her son Brian Nauss, wife Jeannette (nee Deveau) children Adrian, Darrah Mills (nee Nauss), Desirae and Donavin. Her daughter Laurie Glennie (nee Nauss), husband Jeff and children Mitchell and Chase. Ruby also had great grandchildren Coby, Denym, Embree, Jordyn and Hewitt. Ruby had stepchildren and grandchildren from her marriage to Robert whom she loved. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Harmony Community Hall to keep the music going as Ruby would have wanted.
