DANIEL, Ruth Anne Elaine ~ Age 68, of Melvern Square, Annapolis Co., N.S., passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, October 5, 2024.  Born on June 4, 1956, in Berwick, Kings Co., she was a daughter of the late James Thomas and Lois Evelyn (Brewster) Daniel.  Ruth Anne graduated from the C.N.A. program in 1976 at the Vocational School in Middleton, later becoming an L.P.N., doing private care for a few families in the area and was then employed with the Victorian Order of Nurses for 20 years.

She loved to attend dances in her younger years at the legion and enjoyed country music. Ruth Anne was a self-taught bookkeeper and enjoyed doing the books for the family dairy farm and Farm Market (Goucher's Farm Market in Wilmot).  She enjoyed watching soap operas, eating at local restaurants and shopping. Ruth Anne was an adherent of the Melvern Square United Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband Gerald F. Goucher, Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown; sons, Adam Goucher (Joseph) and Jeffrey Goucher (Amanda), both of Melvern Square; brother, Gary (Sheila) Daniel, Berwick; step-daughter, Lisa Rodriguez, Peterborough, Ontario; step-sons, Norman Goucher, New Albany; Derrick (Diana) Goucher, Etobicoke, Ontario; grandchildren, Chloe, Carter, Stella Mae and Claira Goucher; step grandchildren, Kelsey, Kayleigh, Keira, Stefan, Lucas, Courtney, Aaliyiah, Leighton and Lyndi; step great grandson, Noah; nieces, Sheryl and Lori; nephews, Cory & Bryan; several cousins.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a grandson, Caleb Goucher; sister, Judith (Frank) Gould; father and mother-in-law, Aubrey and Pearl (Stevenson) Goucher.

Visitation will take place from 6-8 p.m., Friday evening in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448. Funeral Service will take place at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 12, in Melvern Square United Baptist Church, 377 Stronach Mountain Road, Melvern Square, with a reception to follow. Rev. Elizabeth Amirault officiating, with interment in Church Grove Cemetery, Melvern Square. Donations in her memory may be made to Melvern Square United Baptist Church or to Victorian Order of Nurses ~ Annapolis Valley Branch.
