Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved mother, Sandra Estella Chetwynd (Robicheau), 78 of Kingston. Sandra left us on Friday, October 11th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at home, the place of her choice.

Born on August 27th, 1946, in Yarmouth. She grew up in Yarmouth and moved to the Annapolis Valley where she met her husband and raised her family.

In Sandra's young adult life, she worked at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton in the kitchen. Then worked at Wade's Food Stores for a few years. After her time there, she ventured across the street to Hines Pharmacy, which in later years became Valley Drug Mart in Kingston. She spent over 20 years at this workplace until she retired.

She was an incredible community minded person; she spent many hours volunteering her time. She developed tight bonds and made many memories throughout her career and volunteering. She had many special friends, during her life. Many of whom were by her side until the end, sharing their stories of love and comfort with her family.

Aside from her caring and loving soul, Sandra had a humorous side where she enjoyed playing the clown for many years, in the Steer BBQ parade in Kingston. She was also a huge fan of Betty Boop, there was not a room in her home or in her car where Betty Boop was not present.

Sandra was predeceased by her parents, Geraldine Robicheau and Geraldine's partner, Bob McGuire; by her husband, Andrew, grandchildren, Jessie and Matthew; and her great grandson, Ethan.

Sandra is survived by sons, Darryl (April), Port Hastings and Jason, Prince Edward County, Ont.; her grandchildren, Andrew, Adam (Hannah), Dylan (Chloe), Raven, Casper and Fenix; and many great grandchildren. In keeping with Sandra's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date and interment will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton.

The family would like to thank Sandra's palliative care team, VON, continuing care and EHS of Annapolis Valley for taking great care of our mom. Memorial donations can be made to the Annapolis Valley palliative care team. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448.
