Sandra Elizabeth
Cook
June 2, 1953 – January 13, 2023
Cook, Sandra Elizabeth – Age 69 of Middleton Annapolis Co., passed away peacefully Friday, January 13, 2023, at Valley Hospice Kentville. Born in Digby, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Camille (Rice) Johnstone. Our mom, how do we write a few words about the strongest woman we know…our foundation, our rock. We all felt her unconditional love. Her family meant the world to her. Growing up she was a happy go lucky child. She had a lot of friends. She was daddy's little girl. Once he traded a cow to get her the pony she loved, which she ended up sneaking into her room briefly. Mom loved the cabin and the simple life with dad. They did everything together. They were hilarious to listen to. Ty and I referred to our Christmas's as "Christmas with the Cranks" in the funniest way imaginable. She had a heart of gold with a bit of spit fire. Anyone who knew her knows exactly what I mean. Mom loved to laugh, have fun and act a fool. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchild. They were her pride and joy. They will carry on her love for family, her infectious laugh and her fun and strength. Sandra is survived by her daughter, Kendra (Mike) Strong, Okotoks, AB; son, Tyler (Magen Blinn), Middleton; grandchildren, Ethan (Patience Johnson) Cook, Bailey Cook, Dykohta and Kamryn Strong; great grandchild, Avery Cook; sister, Pamela (Paul) Law, Deep Brook; brothers, Ronnie (Michelle) Johnstone, Bridgewater, Kenny (Joanne) Johnstone, Medicine Hat, AB, Richard (Nancy) Johnstone, Edmonton, AB; sister-in-law, Barb Johnstone, Deep Brook; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Sandra was predeceased by her loving husband, Harry "Bob" Cook; daughter, Marie LeeAnne Cook; brother, Robert Johnstone. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service at this time, as per Sandra's wishes. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home; 398 Main St. toll free: 1-855-825-3448.
