SALAS, Sergio Hernan ~ age 35 of Meadowvale, NS passed away suddenly on October 1 st , 2019 in hospital due to health complications, with his fiancé and her loving family by his side. Sergio was born January 12, 1984 in Port Hardy, BC where he spent most of his years. Sergio worked for Keltic Seafoods Ltd. as a seafood processor and dock worker for 9 years. In the past, he worked for Home Hardware, Zellers, Canadian Tire, janitor at Kingston Elementary School and was to start his new job October 10 th with Eden Valley Poultry in the sanitation. Recently, Sergio had moved to the east coast for a fresh start, a place to settle down and to be with his fiancé. Sergio was a kind and loving individual, who lived life to the fullest and was kind to whoever entered into his life. Anyone, if asked, would say that Sergio was the life of the party; he brightened up the room with his contagious smile. Hockey was also a big part of Sergio's life, especially the Vancouver Canucks, his favourite team. Sergio also had a love for soccer and spent many of his teenage years playing. In his spare time he enjoyed being at the beach, taking nature walks, listening to loud music, long drives and spending time with his friends and family, always making them laugh. Sergio loved animals and in particular his precious cat Nestlé. Sergio was a loving fiancé, son, brother, uncle and friend. Sergio is survived by his fiancé, Jessica Deveau; mother-in-law, Betty Deveau; brother-in-law, Peter Earle; sister-in-law, Vanessa Earle (Dave) and nieces Haley Earle (Jared); Shelby Earle (Kevin); Jaylynn and nephew Logan. Also survived by his mother, Cecelia; brothers, Danny (Mallory) and Robert (Ali); sister, Isabel; niece Peyton; nephews Dayton and Domonic. Along with three special boys who Sergio cared for Storm, Neshawn, Jon-John and many other family members Sergio held dear to his heart. He also spoke highly of his close friends Ryan and Rich. Sergio was predeceased by his father, Roberto Hernan Salas. A celebration of life service will be held 2:00PM Saturday, October 26, 2019 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448. A special thank you to the staff of Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton and the QEII Infirmary in Halifax, along with the Paramedics and all other staff involved with taking care of Sergio. A big thank you to my family and friends for their loving care and support during this difficult time. Sergio was the love of my life, a wonderful spouse, so kind and loving. He will be missed very much by everyone, but never forgotten. I dedicate this poem to you my love:

I love your great smile and the way you make me laugh.

I love you for how you look at the world,

For your good heart and quick mind,

And for the many ways you're my truest close friend.

But most of all…

I love you for your love, the kind of amazing generous love

that has absolutely changed my life for the better.

And though I know I say it a lot, every time I do,

I mean it deeply and forever… I love you.
