Sheila Green

Green, Sheila, - 63, of Kingston, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2026 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Poole) Upshall.

Sheila grew up in Arnold’s Cove and when she became a Personal Care Worker, she worked at Hilltop Manor. A devoted military wife of 21 years, they spent time in Inuvik; Gander, NL: Massett, BC; Kingston, ON; Ottawa, ON; finally retiring back in Newfoundland, before moving to Kingston, NS to be closer to their grandchildren. Sheila enjoyed doing puzzles and coloring each morning with her coffee and a good game of Rummoli with friends.

Surviving is her loving husband, with 43 years together, “Rick” Stanley Rex Green; daughter, Ashley Green (Eric Malloch), Ottawa, ON; son, Andrew (Sarah) Green, Kingston; grandchildren, Marshall and Hannah Green; Archer and Riker Malloch; brothers, Bob (Rose) Upshall, Arnold’s Cove, NL; Kurt Upshall, Ontario; Bruce Upshall (Shirley Hickey), Grande Prairie, AB; and nephew, Kai Upshall. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Vera Wareham.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Sheila in the summer of 2027 with family and friends in Arnold’s Cove and she will be laid to rest with her mother in Arnold’s Cove Interfaith Cemetery, Newfoundland.
