Obituary

Sheila Ann Morse, age 54, left to be with her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, March 8, 2014. After 8 months of battling cancer, Sheila was greeted by an angel in her home while surrounded by her husband, children, grandchildren, parents and sisters. Sheila was born on January 4, 1960, in Middleton, NS to Arthur and Janet Spinney. She leaves behind her sisters and their families; Sharon & Joe Schofield, Darlene & Cecil Trites, Angela & Chris Ross. Sheila's exceptional gift was loving others. Her home was always open and her heart was full of love for those who entered in. She was amazingly strong, full of grace and a constant help in times of trouble. Her laughter brought joy and her cooking, comfort to many. Sheila was an inspirational and devoted member of the Harmony Community and Christ's love was evident in all aspects of her life. She was a dedicated nurse of 32 years at the Valley Regional Hospital and completed her Lay Pastors Certificate. She was a faithful servant for the Lord in her community and church. She will be profoundly missed by her best friend, soul mate and husband of 32 years, Douglas Morse. Lovingly remembered by her children and their families; Ryan Morse and wife Rachel, Jennifer and husband Jason Morgan, Jillian and husband Marc Pyle. Sheila was blessed with meeting two precious grandchildren, Ellie Morse and Jase Morgan, and will be awaiting the arrival of baby Luke Pyle from heaven. Her family will deeply feel the void in their hearts, with the loss of such a wonderful loving wife and mother. You are welcome to come and witness the impact Christ has had in her life. Visitation for friends and family will take place on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the Kingston Fire hall between 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held at the Kingston United Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 12 at 1:30 p.m., Pastor Douglas Duncan officiating, followed by a reception at the Kingston Fire Hall. There will be a Private Family Burial at the North Kingston Cemetery. Donations in Sheila's memory may be made to the Harmony Baptist Church for endowment to the Lighthouse project in the Dominican Republic.
