Shelley Ann
Parsons
July 10, 1960 – January 17, 2026
PARSONS, Shelley Ann ~ Age 65, of Spa Springs, NS, peacefully passed away at home on January 17, 2026 surrounded by her family.
Born in Windsor, NS, Shelley was a daughter of the late June MacLeod and Doug Garland.
A devoted wife, mother, and proud grandmother, her absence leaves a profound void in the lives of her family, friends, and all those who experienced her warmth and kindness.
Shelley was the steadfast foundation of her family, the one who brought everyone together, celebrated each milestone, and offered unwavering support. Her love and nurturing spirit will continue to influence their lives forever, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and generous heart.
Her grandchildren were the focal point of her life, and she dedicated herself to caring for others, always prioritizing their needs. Shelley cherished life's simple pleasures, from a good book to a home-cooked turkey dinner and found her greatest joy when all her children gathered under one roof. Together with Bruce and kids, she co-founded Windy Knoll Farm, where they raised Simmental cattle and Clydesdales. For over 25 years, she proudly represented Avon, achieving top sales within NS and forming lasting friendships throughout her community. In her earlier years, Shelley shared her faith and kindness by teaching Sunday School at Kingston Baptist Church. She was also actively involved in 4-H at both the county and provincial levels, chaperoning the Royal Beef team, coaching the Annapolis tug-of-war, and always supporting her fellow 4-H members.
Above all, Shelley's heart belonged to her family. She shared over 50 years of marriage with her husband Bruce and raised seven children and thirteen grandchildren together.
