Shirley Ann Shore

SHORE, Shirley Ann ~ Age 87, of Greenwood Square, Kings Co., N.S., passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, in Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born on February 28, 1939, in South Brook, Cumberland Co., she was a daughter of the late Rathburn T. and Marjorie G. (Skidmore) Lovely. Shirley had been a long-time associate member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch. 98, Kingston. After taking one course in oil painting, she had a talent and her works were in high demand. One of the most important things in Shirley’s life was time spent with family.Surviving are her son, Thomas “Tom” Henwood, Meadowvale; grandson, Victor Henwood; her identical twin sister, Lurley Tardif, Greenwood Square; brother, Douglas Lovely, Aylesford; several nieces, nephews and cousins.Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband, Victor Blair; second husband, James Emmons; third husband, Kerwin Shore; brothers, Jack and Dan Lovely.All are welcome to attend service in celebration of Shirley’s life at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 6, in Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 98, 1472 Veterans Drive, Kingston. Rev. Wade Seymour officiating, with a reception to follow until 4:00 p.m. Shirley requested that folks are welcome to bring a single red rose to the service and place in her memory. Interment will be in Aylesford Union Cemetery.
