Caines, Shirley Joan ~ age 90 of Brickton, NS passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Port Lorne, she was a daughter of the late Otto and Alice (Bezanson) White. Shirley loves music and going to jam sessions. Family meant everything to her and being a very social person, she enjoyed going to outings and community suppers. Shirley loved listening to old classic country music and would be often heard singing along whether it was at home or in the car. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her children, James "Jim" (Carolyn), Caines, Brickton; Edith (John) Oliver, Meadowvale; Sharon (Harold) Hickman, Wilmot; Lester (Debbie) Caines, Middleton; Blair Caines (Sherry Town), Berwick; Brad Caines (Bonnie Ward), Kingston; Derek Caines, Medicine Hat, Alberta; Barbara "Barb" Caines (Corey Strong), Leduc, Alberta; sister, Edna Foster (Wendell Ramsey), Cambridge; sister-in-law, Jean White, Brickton; 17 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Llewellyn; sister, Gloria; brothers, Victor and Thomas and sister-in-law, Betty. Visitation will be held 6-8PM Friday, July 25, 2025 in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448 where funeral service will be held 2:00PM Saturday, July 26, 2025 with Rev.
