Obituary

CORBIN, Shirley Anne ~ Age 85, Wilmot, Annapolis Co., passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, March 14, 2019. Born in New Ross, Lunenburg Co., she was a daughter of the late Everett E. and Ella V. (Redden) Lantz. Shirley was a 60 plus year member of the Wilmot Baptist Church, singing in the choir and involved with all aspects of the church. She had been a Girl Guide Leader and active with Trefoil Guild. Shirley had worked at various places and had donated to many worthy causes. She loved camping, making greeting cards, tole painting, yardsaling and was an avid gardener. Shirley was devoted to her family, friends and community. Surviving are her husband of 67 years, St. Clair W. Corbin; daughters, Donna (Victor) Pye, Halifax; Judy (Garry) Snelgrove, Red Deer, Alta.; grandchildren, Michael (Cathy) and Laura (Brad); great-grandson, Bennett; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by daughter, Jane in infancy; sister, Joyce; brother, Oren. Visitation will take place 7-9 p.m., Sunday in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, 902-825-3448, from where the funeral service will take place at 2 p.m., Monday, March 18.  Rev. Dr. Harry Gardner officiating, with interment  in Wiswall Cemetery.
