ELLIOTT, Shirley Freeman, age 92 of Kingston, NS formerly of Tiverton, NS passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 3rd, 2024 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville surrounded by his family. Born in Tiverton on June 20th, 1932, he was a son of the late Louis Freeman and Olive Deborah (Outhouse) Elliott. Shirley retired after 50 plus years as owner / operator of S. Elliott Fuels in Tiverton. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, The Oddfellows and past member of the Tiverton Volunteer Fire Department for 50 years. He was also a member of the Tiverton United Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. In his younger years, he enjoyed golfing, travelling and loved going to Florida with Norma during the winter months along with Neta and Mervin. In the most recent years, Shirley enjoyed spending time in Bear Cove, Tiverton at the campground surrounded with family and friends. Shirley is the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his loving wife, of 68 years, Norma (Crocker), Kingston; his son, Alex Elliott (Gail Chalmers), Cornwallis; grandchildren, Sonya (Jason) Frost, New Edinburgh; Keighley Elliott (Arthur White), Middleton; Jensen Elliott, Digby; Derek (Alicia) Elliott, Woodville, Hants County; great grandchildren, Ashlynn, Brixsen, Audrey, and Beau. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son Marty and brother Harland. In keeping with Shirley's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, November 8th, 2024 at the Tiverton United Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Long officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Tiverton.
