GODFREY, Shirley Ray 88, of Paradise, NS passed away Sunday, November 21, 2010 in the Annapolis Community Health Centre. Born in Clarence, he was a son of the late Jabez and Mary (Witham) Godfrey. He was previously employed with Mark A. Leonard Home Heating, K.M. Brooks General Store, Irving Oil Limited, Middleton and Mid-Valley Motel. He was a good kind man and was always willing to lend a helping hand. His hobby was repairing old cars, of which he had over 100 during his lifetime. He is survived by his loving wife Gertrude of 63 years; a son John (Ailene) Godfrey, Scarborough, ON; sister Ruth Neily, Middleton and brother Stanley (Muriel) Godfrey, Bridgetown. Visitation will be held 7-9PM Wednesday, November 24, 2010 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 where the funeral service will be held 2:00PM Thursday, November 25, 2010, Rev. Mark Reece officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. By request, family flowers only.
