Obituary

Laidlaw, Shirley Isabella (nee Snider) 73 of Kingston. With heavy hearts, the family of Shirley Laidlaw announces her sudden passing at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville on Tuesday, February 18, 2014. Daughter of late Phyllis Toll (nee Snider) and late stepfather Stan Toll. She is survived by husband Douglas Laidlaw of Kingston Nova Scotia, and siblings, Dan Snider (Lorna) of Kingston, Nova Scotia; George Snider (Judy) of Hamilton, Ontario and sister, Linda Dunbrook (nee Snider) Oliver, British Columbia. Her sons Don Laidlaw (Christine) of Burlington, Ontario; Ron Laidlaw (Sue) of Duncan, British Columbia and Steven Laidlaw (Nicole) of Victoria, British Columbia and 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was an artist, seamstress and a great homemaker, supporter and friend. Always smiling never gave up when down a fighter to the end. Visitation will be held from 7 - 9 p.m. Thursday, February 20th, 2014 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448 where a memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 21st. with Rev. Karen Ralph officiating. A special thank you to all the Staff of the Valley Regional Hospital, Medical A unit in Kentville for their kindness and support through a very difficult time.
