It is with great sadness we announce the death of our beloved mother, Shirley Marie (Marshall) Lecky, who has gone to be with her Heavenly Father and Saviour on Sunday, October 27, 2024 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born 14 July 1939, in Middleton, Nova Scotia she was a daughter of the late Vaughn Bertram Marshall and Lillian Mae (Keddy) Marshall.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Martin Lecky (Debbie), Milton, Ontario; daughters, Shirley Maria Anne Lecky (the late Don Short), Northbrooke, Ontario and Claudette Freda Bailey (Andrew Gould), Waterville; grandsons, Derek Bailey, Justin Bailey, Andrew Lecky; granddaughters, Persimon Dickson, Samantha Lecky (Eric Leach), extended grandchildren, Krystal (Peter), Danielle (Kyle), James Ellick (Amy); numerous great grandchildren and extended great grandchildren; nieces, Jo-Ann, Christine, Gerladine, Adeane; nephews, Mark, Ronnie and Sean; brother, Ronald Marshall, Paradise & Ontario; sister, Elaine (Herb Caverhill), Oak Bay, New Brunswick and sister-in-law, Liana Marshall, Campbellville, Ontario

She was predeceased by her brother, Vaughn Marshall; paternal grandparents, Robert Leslie and Elida Jean (McClavin) Marshall; maternal grandparents, Wallace Morton and Eva Janetta (Legge) Keddy and a son in infancy.

Visitation will be held 2-4PM and 7-9PM Wednesday, November 6, 2024 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free 1-855-825-3448 with cremation to follow the visitation.

Celebration of life will be held 10:00AM Saturday, November 9, 2024 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 10588 Highway 201, Meadowvale followed by a reception. Interment will be in Fundy View Cemetery, Port Lorne. Donations in memory may be made to the Fundy View Cemetery, Port Lorne or to charity of your choice.
