DOREY, Stanley Ivan ~ Age 89, Welsford, Kings Co., passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Liverpool, Queens Co., he was a son of the late Hibbert and Rita (Carver) Dorey. Stanley was a member of the Berwick Baptist Church. He had first worked at Mersey Paper Company Limited and after the firm became Bowater Mersey he then drove their logging truck with a total of 27 years of service. Stanley later worked for Paul Bishop on his diary farm in Welsford which he later purchased and operated for many years until his retirement. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, the former Geneva Pearl Veinotte; daughter, Pearl (Gary) Galley, Welsford; son, Christopher (Corrinne "Corey") Dorey, Carrot Creek, Alta.; grandchildren, Jack (Tara), Mark (Sarah), Samantha (David), Mitchell and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Bethany, Jace and Easton; sisters, Irene Beck, Newburne; Joan Zinck, Feltzen South; brother, Bernard Dorey, Wileville; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by son, Jerry Dorey; sisters, Mary in infancy; Joyce Mosher; Kathleen Beck; brothers, Maynard, Carman and Merlin Dorey. There will be no visitation.
