MEISTER, Stanley Seldon "Stan" – Age 90, Selfridge Corner, Kings Co., passed away peacefully on Friday, December 14, 2018, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Auburn, Kings Co., he was a son of the late Roy and Katherine (Robbins) Meister. Stanley was a graduate of the Provincial Normal College in Truro, and taught school in Yarmouth and Weltons Corner. He then went to work for the Department of Highways, and had remained an active farmer for the rest of his life on the family farm. Stanley was a member of the Aylesford Baptist Church for 70 years. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Jean Jacobs (Stockton, CA); brothers, William and John Meister (Aylesford) ; nieces, Cathy and Ida (Wiley) Meister. Left to mourn are sister-in-law, Fronie Meister, Aylesford; nieces, Jackie (Dave) Meister, Aylesford; Betty Hadley, Bridgewater; Susie Meister, Auburn; Mary Jacobs, Stockton, CA; nephews, George, Earl (Denise) and Guy (Charlene) Meister, Aylesford; Joe, John and Tom Jacobs, Stockton, CA; many grand nephews and nieces; lifelong friends, Eric and Edna Welton, Moncton, N.B.; Brian and Joy Myra, who made his last 24 Christmas seasons most joyous. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral service followed by a reception will take place at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 19, in Aylesford Baptist Church, 2543 Hwy No. 1, Aylesford.
