WAGNER, Stanley Leroy, 55 of Nictaux West, passed away suddenly Sunday, January 15, 2012 at home. Born in Middleton, he was a son of the late Colin and Elsie (Barkhouse) Wagner. He was also predeceased by surrogate parents Ted and Gladys Crocker of Trout Lake. He is survived by his wife, Katherine "Kathy" (Freeman); daughter, Kristy Lee Wagner (Ryan DeJong), Hubbards; son, John "Colin" (Kathryn "Katy") Wagner, Aylesford; sisters, Pauline White, Nictaux; Irene (Larry) Finlayson, Nictaux; Audrey (Peter) Brown, Melvern Square; brothers, Sidney (Barbara) Wagner, South Farmington; Donald Wagner (Brenda Haynes), New Albany, father in law, John Freeman, Margaretsville; sister- in-laws, Wendy Balcom, Nictaux and Judy Rehse, Hammonds Plains and their families, and many nieces and nephews. Also to be remembered, Stanley had a huge extended family - surrogate Dad, brothers and children, his employees who meant so much, his snowmobiling buddies and his fishing friends, his Cuba family, summer kids, boat people, as well as those project friends and weekend friends that were such a big part of his life. All the folks who relied on Stanley to fix whatever whenever, friends and customers of Nictaux West Garage will surely miss him as will his happy pups who waited for him to walk through that door when he finally did - Fanny May and Fizzy May. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 7:00 to 9:00PM,Wednesday, January 18, 2012 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448. A memorial service will be held 11:00AM, Thursday, January 19, 2012 in the Nictaux United Baptist Church, with Rev. Bill McLeod officiating.
