ELMORE, Steven Russell, 48 of Okmulgee, Oklahoma and formerly of Port George passed away Monday, February 13, 2012 at home. Born in Halifax he was the son of Frank and Brenda (Paulette) Elmore. Steven was an avid hockey fan and always very willing to help others. Besides his parents he is survived by his wife Pamela Bennight-Elmore as well as her son and grandchildren; sisters Linda Elmore (Billy MacLaughlin), New Glasgow and Sandy Elmore (Tony Kinsman), Middleton; nephews Jason Phillips, Ronin Kinsman and niece Hayden Kinsman as well as several aunts and uncles; and paternal grandmother Marion Elmore, Middleton. Predeceased by paternal grandfather, Frank Elmore Sr. and maternal grandparents, Rupert and Bernice Parks. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main St. (902) 825-3448. A graveside service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, May 26, 2012 in Hillside Cemetery, Port George, with Rev. Leon Langille officiating, followed by a reception for family and friends at 1:00PM Saturday, May 26, 2012 in the Middleton Fire Hall.
